Nubia’s gaming sub-brand, RedMagic, has officially launched the RedMagic 11 Air in China. This gaming smartphone comes with a slimmer design compared to the RedMagic 11 Pro (China version) but still retains the internal fan cooling system and last year’s flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, which is still quite powerful.
Carrying the name Air, the RedMagic 11 Air has dimensions of 163.82 x 76.54 x 7.85 mm and weighs 207 grams. For a gaming smartphone, it is relatively lightweight and what’s more interesting is that it still features an internal cooling system with a built-in fan.
For reference, the RedMagic 11 Pro (China version) has dimensions of 163.8 x 76.5 x 8.9 mm and weighs around 230 grams. So, the “Air” designation seems fitting given the presence of a similar cooling feature with lighter dimensions and weight.
The front of the RedMagic 11 Air features a large 6.85-inch display with an AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1.5K and a 144Hz refresh rate. This device also comes with a “clean” display without a notch, thanks to the under-display 16MP selfie camera.
Turning to the back, there are two cameras with a 50MP main sensor equipped with OIS and an 8MP ultrawide. Despite its thinner body, the RedMagic 11 Air still features a 24,000 RPM internal fan and has an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which although last year’s flagship, still offers reliable performance for handling various heavy games. Additionally, it is supported by 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM with a speed of 9,600 MB/s and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
With a 7,000mAh battery capacity, the RedMagic 11 Air is ready for long gaming sessions and when the battery runs out, it can be quickly charged at 120W. The device runs on RedMagic OS 11.0 based on Android 16.
The RedMagic 11 Air is priced starting from 3,699 yuan or around Rp8.9 million for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the highest variant of 16GB/512GB is priced at 4,399 yuan or around Rp10 million. However, for now, it is exclusively available in China and it is not yet known if it will be released in the global market.
